Topic: Food and Beverage Tips for Working with Federal Government presented by Tiffany Slay with Fours Points by Sheraton Alexandria

Description: Navigating food and beverage requirements for federal government meetings can be complex, with strict guidelines, per diem considerations, and compliance expectations that differ from other events. In this session, Tiffany Slay with Four Points by Sheraton Alexandria will share practical tips and best practices for successfully planning and executing food and beverage services for federal meetings. Attendees will gain insight into aligning menus with federal regulations, managing costs, accommodating dietary needs, and fostering strong planner–supplier partnerships to ensure compliant, efficient, and high-quality meeting experiences.

Topic: From Zero to Hero: A Beginner’s Guide to Google Sheets presented by Christina Lewis, CGMP President of SGMP La Chapter

Description: If spreadsheets have ever felt intimidating or overwhelming, this session is for you. Learn a practical, hands-on intro to Google Sheets tailored for meeting and event professionals. Participants will be guided through the basics of navigating the Google Sheets interface, understanding common terminology, applying simple formatting, and using core formulas to confidently manage and maintain data as projects grow. The session will also explore powerful yet beginner-friendly features—such as filters, conditional formatting, checkboxes, drop-down menus, and Paste Special—to help organize information, reduce errors, and create smarter, more functional spreadsheets. whether working together or remotely.

Location: DOTD Louisiana Transportation Research Center at 4101 Gourrier St in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
