RESET Your Buttons: Enhancing Government Meeting Planning
What's pushing your buttons?
Why is RESET Your Buttons, Model, Method, and Mindset Crucial for Government Meeting Planners today?

Today's Government Meeting Planner faces increased complexities and pressure to get it right. They have to be better prepared to meet the needs of multiple perspectives and balance diverse stakeholders' interests while adapting to the new challenges of today's technology. Included in their toolkit is the need for increased empathy and practical, in-the-moment conflict resolution skills to resolve disagreements constructively.

The government landscape constantly evolves, and planners must adapt to new challenges and opportunities by understanding the factors that can trigger negative emotions and disrupt the meeting planning process and meeting. By understanding the RESET Your Buttons model and applying its principles, government meeting planners can better navigate the complexities of their role, manage stress effectively, and create more productive and successful meetings.

Mary Elizabeth Murphy, CPCC, ORSCC, CEO of S.T.A.R. Resources and author of RESET Your ButtonsCreate Relationships that Work, will explore the innovative RESET Your Buttons Model, Method, and Mindset as a tool kit for government meeting planners. By understanding and applying the principles of this model, attendees can enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall success of their meetings.

Objectives:

  • Have fun, strengthen the community, laugh, and enjoy a delicious lunch
  • Introduce the RESET Your Buttons Model and its core components.
  • Discuss how the RESET Your Buttons Method can be applied and practiced for today's Government Meeting Planner.
  • Explore specific strategies and techniques for implementing the method to create your RESET Your Buttons Mindset.
  • Leave with a new set of tips and tools to meet the challenges of today's Government Meeting Planner.
