Meeting Table Manners and Essential "Do's and Don'ts" of Lunchtime Etiquette

A skill building dining etiquette and personal social skills workshop. This engaging and informative session is tailored for government meeting planners and suppliers, to enhance dining etiquette skills and ensure presenting oneself with confidence and professionalism during government meetings. Participants will learn essential table manners, navigate complex table settings, and engage in polite, effective conversation. With real-world skills and confidence gained, participants can professionally and successfully manage themselves with poise and grace at the table. Elevate your meal etiquette and make a positive lasting impression at your next government event.

Registration Policy and Pricing

MiSGMP Registration Policies – Revised June 2024

  • It is requested all registration fees be paid prior to the meeting/event.  If unable to make an online payment, cash or check is the only form of payment that will be accepted in-person on the day of the meeting/event.

  • Registration ends the Thursday prior to the meeting/event at 5:00 p.m.

  • Registrations after 5:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the meeting/event must be approved by the chapter's treasurer.

  • When a written/emailed registration cancellation request is received prior to 5 p.m. the Thursday before the event, a credit will be issued to the individual’s MiSGMP account for the amount paid. Registration fee credits can only be used for future MiSGMP event registration fees. No refunds are provided.

  • MiSGMP strongly discourages onsite/walk-in registrations.  Members who choose to register at the door will incur the standard monthly meeting registration fee for their member type, the standard $20 late registration fee, and an extra $25 walk-in fee.  Please note that meal availability cannot be guaranteed for walk-in registrants.

  • A guest may attend a maximum of two MiSGMP sponsored programs/events at the applicable guest rate. To attend additional MiSGMP sponsored programs/events, one must become a MiSGMP member.
