Chapter Scholarships

Michigan Chapter scholarships are awarded for both the chapter's Annual Education Conference (all members in each category) and for the SGMP's National Education Conference (planners, suppliers, retirees, and educators/students) for chapter members whose organizations would not financially support the required expenses to attend.

Scholarships are reviewed and provided based on need, budgetary allowance and contributions to the chapter.

Annual Education Conference
The scholarships are available to any of our Chapter members whose organizations may not provide the necessary financial support to attend the conference. Our mission is to ensure that all members are able to take advantage of the enriching knowledge base the conference provides. The scholarship review process considers applicants’ financial needs, budgetary allowance, and contributions to the Chapter.   Access the application

Student Scholarship $150 (Supplier or Planner Sponsored)
Support the next generation of hospitality professionals by sponsoring a Student Scholarship! This opportunity is open to college students who are non-MiSGMP members, currently enrolled in a hospitality-related course, or actively pursuing a career in the industry.
Each scholarship will cover the full registration fee for the MiSGMP Annual Education Conference (AEC), offering recipients the chance to learn, network, and grow in their chosen field. While overnight accommodations are not included, recipients are encouraged to stay overnight to fully immerse themselves in the AEC experience and make the most of this unique opportunity.
