Chapter ScholarshipsMichigan Chapter scholarships are awarded for both the chapter's Annual Education Conference (all members in each category) and for the SGMP's National Education Conference (planners, suppliers, retirees, and educators/students) for chapter members whose organizations would not financially support the required expenses to attend. Scholarships are reviewed and provided based on need, budgetary allowance and contributions to the chapter. Annual Education Conference Student Scholarship $150 (Supplier or Planner Sponsored) National Education Conference Member Recognition MiSGMP recognizes its members through awards that are presented annually at the Annual Education Conference. These awards are given to members who have made outstanding contributions to the chapter’s goals and the society’s mission. Their work shines a spotlight on exceptional achievements and motivates continued excellence. Zenith Supplier and Planner of the Year Awards: The purpose of the Zenith Award is to recognize and celebrate MiSGMP members who have reached the peak of excellence within the chapter, setting a benchmark for leadership, contribution, and commitment to advancing the chapter’s mission and goals.

This award is named in honor of Laurie Nickson, whose personal and professional devotion to MiSGMP’s mission, goals, and chapter operations, has set an enduring example. This award celebrates those who, like Laurie, inspire others through selflessness, leadership, and a commitment to meaningful progress.
