About UsThe Northern Lights Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals was founded in September 1997 as the 25th Chapter of SGMP by Jennifer Edone (Kahler Hotel, Rochester), Stephanie Grimaldi (St. Paul CVB), Jo Maniaci (Office of Special Events & Planning, State of MN), Marsha Signorelli (Duluth CVB), Judy Nichols (Regal Minneapolis Hotel), Roger Williams (MN Department of Children, Family, and Learning), and Bob Easton (Bloomington CVB). The Chapter is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and serves the needs of federal, state, and local government meeting professionals in the state of Minnesota. We hold networking and professional development meetings on a monthly basis to support the mission and goals of SGMP.
